Libya: Flood victims buried in mass graves in Derna

DERNA, LIBYA - SEPTEMBER 15, 2023: Dozens of flood victims have been buried in a mass grave in the Libyan city of Derna on Friday night (Sept. 15). After the funeral prayers, the bodies of those who perished in the flood were laid to rest in the newly excavated graves. At least 6,000 people were killed and thousands of others remain missing due to last weekend’s floods in eastern Libya, according to official figures.
