"Perseid meteors, timelapse" - HD 影片檔

"Timelapse footage of the night sky during the Perseid meteor shower. Several Perseid meteors are seen as streaks in the sky as the stars revolve. The Perseids are one of the better annual meteor showers, and are named as the meteors appear to originate from a spot in the constellation Perseus (rising at bottom centre). The shower is produced by dust in the orbit of the comet Swift-Tuttle, through which the Earth passes each summer. The shower peaks around 12th August each year. Filmed on the night of 10th-11th August 2012, from Caldy Beach, Merseyside, UK."
