Rhode Island Senator Sheldon Whitehouse says that for two years, Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt, nominee for the Environmental Protection Agency, refused to comply with open records requests to release email communications with persons in the oil and gas industry. Whitehouse says there are dark forces at work, that Republicans are being asked to vote without knowing about what he calls a dark money operation, a blackhole of secrecy, that the Majority Leader is asking for legal blindness.
