Ignatius from Loyola walked above this bridge in 1522 when he arrived to Manresa. The landscape around and the mountains from the abbey Monserrat are visible in the background. The bridge has already been build in the roman period, after it got destroyed several times in the 12. century, the bridge got rebuild in in the gothic style and reconstructed between 1960 and 1962.
