Church At Acoma Pueblo

A black and white exterior photograph of San Estevan del Rey Mission Church, the adobe building was constructed in the 17th century, wooden beams that create the structure for the roof can be seen protruding from the side, a cross stands on tower at the corner; the image comes from a series of photographs known as the mural project by Ansel Adams, who was commissioned by the National Park Service in 1941 to create a photographic mural for the Department of the Interior Building in Washington DC.
