BIO-CHAPLIN-GOLD RUSH
British born Charles Spencer Chaplin (C), better known as Charlie Chaplin or Charlot, film actor and director, is seated behind two motion picture cameras as he films in 1925 for the United Artists the famous "Gold Rush". His film career began in 1914 with his early comedies in which he adopted the bowler hat, out-turned feet, moustache and walking-cane which became his hallmark as in The Kid (1921), The Gold Rush (1925), and many others. His first sound film was The Great Dictator (1940). For Limelight (1952) he acted, choreographed, directed, produced, and composed the music. / AFP PHOTO / INTERCONTINENTALE / - (Photo credit should read -/AFP via Getty Images)
