390141 06: New Nepalese King Gyanendra is crowned June 4, 2001 at the Hanuman Palace in Katmandu. Nepal proclaimed its second new king in two days, naming regent Prince Gyanendra as monarch following a mysterious palace massacre which has rocked the Himalayan kingdom to its foundations.
