(Original Caption) France: Not the least of the cruelties of war is the manner in which it has rent family after family asunder. Husbands are torn from wives; children are torn apart from parents. These little ones were photographed in a French town as they awaited distribution of food while en route to safety zones in the south. Almost the entire child population of France is on the move today. Fleeing in advance of the Blitzkrieg.
