Picture taken on August 5, 2024 shows an equestrian statue of Emperor William I at the Kyffhaeuser Monument, also known as Barbarossa Monument or Kaiser Wilhelm Monument, near Bad Frankenhausen, eastern Germany. The 81 meters tall monument was constructed between 1890 to 1896 to honor Prussian King and German Emperor William I. (1797 - 1888), who fulfilled the unification of the German nation, which was desired since the time of Holy Roman Emperor Frederick I von Hohenstaufen, better known as King Barbarossa (The Red-Bearded, 1122 - 1190).
