NASA's Gamma-ray Large Area Space Telesc
NASA's Gamma-ray Large Area Space Telescope, or GLAST, receives final checks at Astrotech in Titusville, Florida, on May 15, 2008 as it readied to be moved to Cape Canaveral for a planned launch aboard a Delta II rocket no earlier than June 3. GLAST is a NASA mission that has teamed with academic institutions from France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Sweden and the US. GLAST will explore the most extreme environments in the Universe, where energies are harnessed far beyond anything possible on Earth.
